Good conduct is synonymous with success and happiness, both in this world and in the Hereafter. There is nothing better than this to attract good things and repel evils. Its importance is therefore paramount and its merit is great. When the Prophet - peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him - was asked about the greatest cause of people's entry into Paradise, he replied: "The fear of Allaah and good conduct." He also said: "Those whom I love most and who will be closest to me on the Last Day are those among you who have the best conduct."
