This present work is intended to be a summary of the main themes of the Holy Quran. It does not claim to be exhaustive. It is an introduction to the main disciplines that scholars have developed over the centuries.

Presented in a simplified manner and different from the usual works, this book evokes the most essential main notions by exploring themes hitherto little developed in French such as the history of the mushaf from yesterday to today, its writing, its notation, its different readings, its translations or even an overview of the ancient and contemporary commentaries of the Koran, the best known through the centuries.

Mastery of the Arabic language and its derivatives being essential for any exegete, a section relating to its expressions and its subtleties will close this work, thus emphasizing the beauty of the language of the Koran.
